Synopsis

This short play was created for the contemporary dance platform Cantieri Aperti, performed at Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa and organised by the Teatro Massimo of Palermo and Centre Culturel Français.
The occasion was a residency for the creation inspired to the city of Palermo, by choreographer Catherine Diverres, director of the CCN in Rennes, on a selection of the nine most representative authors of the Sicilian creative scene.

Freely inspired by a poem by Sappho of Eresus, it is an investigation into the power and theatrical truth of the danced gesture, a window on the yearning search for a soul mate in the heartbreak of loneliness.
